Experience
Jim Carpenter has represented businesses and their owners since joining the firm in 1978. As outside general counsel for numerous businesses in the Boulder Valley and beyond, his practice involves the wide range of legal issues that face those businesses over their lifespan, from business formation and financing, through contracts and other operational matters, to sale or merger transactions. He represents a wide variety of businesses, including technology-related companies in the hardware, software, and communications markets, professional services businesses such as medical practices and marketing services companies, and businesses involved in various phases of real estate. Jim also provides legal counsel on estate planning and real estate investment matters for the principals of those businesses that he represents and for other individuals.
