Experience
Kim Hult joined HBC in 1999 after five years of private practice in Washington, D.C. and Philadelphia, and a federal clerkship in Boston. Her practice concentrates on complex commercial litigation, professional malpractice, civil rights litigation, intellectual property litigation and general litigation. She has represented Fortune 500 companies, not-for-profit organizations, emerging and growing businesses and individuals in a variety of cases. She appears regularly in both state and federal court and also represents clients in proceedings before the TTAB (Trademark Trial and Appeals Board), the NASD (National Association of Securities Dealers), and private arbitration. Kim has been selected for inclusion in "The Best Lawyers in America."
Representative Cases and Transactions
Kim has a diverse litigation practice in the state and federal courts. Recent cases have included high-profile civil rights, professional malpractice, and personal injury matters (including Title IX sexual harassment cases at major universities and large medical malpractice cases that have led to multi-million dollar settlements and verdicts), various intellectual property disputes (including numerous federal patent cases), real property disputes and litigation (including complex quiet title actions, foreclosures and breach of lease disputes), and other general commercial litigation for business clients in both significant contract and tort matters. She has published articles and speaks on the development of Title IX law in sexual harassment cases.
