Deadline for Registered Trademark Owners to Block .XXX Domains is October 28, 2011

A new Top-Level Domain (TLD) with the suffix ".xxx" is currently being launched specifically for websites that provide adult content. In order to protect holders of registered trademarks and service marks who do not want their mark associated with a .xxx domain, the registry responsible for the .xxx launch is currently offering an opportunity to block such registrations. This opportunity is only available to owners of federally registered trademarks or service marks and will only be available through October 28, 2011.
