Immigration Law
Hutchinson, Black and Cook's immigration attorneys help individuals and employers navigate the increasingly complicated requirements of U.S. immigration law to obtain both temporary and permanent visas to live and work in the United States.
In conjunction with our Labor and Employment Law practice, we work with our business clients to ensure they can tap into a worldwide pool of skilled employees, by obtaining temporary and permanent employment-based visas. These include H1-B non-immigrant visas, permanent employment-based visas, visas for multinational managers and executives transferred to the U.S., investor visas and a number of other visa categories to ensure our clients have the edge by hiring the best.
We also offer counsel on immigration issues related to transferring employees, I-9 compliance and immigration audits. A growing part of our immigration practice is counseling companies involved in mergers, acquisitions, reductions in force and lay-offs to ensure appropriate review and transfer of any existing employee visas, compliance with State and Federal immigration reporting requirements, and immigration due diligence.
Our services also include assisting individuals and families hoping to obtain permanent residence status or citizenship. This includes filing permanent resident petitions for processing in the U.S. or at a consulate abroad, marriage-based petitions, fiancé visas, citizenship applications and counseling clients as to the best immigration options available to them.
