Experience

Meghan advises clients in the areas of construction, real estate, sports law, and general commercial law and litigation.  From drafting and reviewing contracts, to counseling clients through a dispute, to litigation and taking a case to trial, Meghan works closely with her clients to achieve practical and cost-effective outcomes.  Meghan’s work has focused on construction contracts and disputes, mechanic’s liens, real property disputes, boundary and access disputes, development and land use disputes, and business disputes of many sizes and types.

In her construction law practice, Meghan advises a broad range of clients, including owners, developers, general contractors, and subcontractors.  Meghan drafts and reviews their contracts and provides advice on the front end aimed at avoiding or resolving disputes early.  She also represents these clients through payment disputes, mechanic’s liens, insurance and coverage issues, construction defect claims, delay claims, and if necessary, mediation and trial.  Whether in litigation, arbitration, or prior to either, Meghan prioritizes close communication with her clients to ensure that their unique goals remain the focus and to facilitate creative solutions to the complex issues they are facing. In addition, as a former Division-I athlete, Meghan has a keen interest in athletics and equity issues in all sports.

Before joining HBC, Meghan was a partner at Robinson Hungate, PC, (formerly Robinson Tweedy, PC) a boutique litigation firm in Boulder.  Meghan is also passionate about access to justice for the underrepresented in our communities and volunteers with local organizations trying to bridge these gaps.
