Experience

A partner at HBC since 2000, Brendan Chatham’s practice entails acting as “virtual” general counsel to entrepreneurs and established, emerging and start-up companies in a wide variety of businesses and industries, including:

  • green and clean energy

  • asset-based lending and finance

  • real estate investment and development

  • food branded products

  • food services

  • sports products

  • hardware and software technology

  • professional services

  • health care services

  • manufacturing

  • retail

  • charitable organizations

Brendan is primarily known for two unique professional qualities that his clients find valuable. First, he adheres to a “founder-centric” philosophical approach with respect to representing the interests of entrepreneurs in all manner of transactions. Also, he has a penchant for successfully consummating “outside-the-box” capital structures and investment transactions, as well as “outside-the-box” business relationships and exit transactions for which there is little to no precedent in the marketplace.

Prior to joining the firm, he worked as in house counsel for local Boulder companies Leasetec Corporation and Schwinn Cycling & Fitness Inc.
