Bill Meyer wins appeal in ERISA case

In a 2-1 decision, the United States Court of Appeals for the Tenth Circuit affirmed the trial court’s judgment for the plaintiff in LaAsmar v. Metropolitan Life Insurance Co, a closely watched case addressing the rights of insurers to deny accident benefits to beneficiaries of ERISA plans.  Bill Meyer handled the case and appeal for the LaAsmar family.
