Baine Kerr, a partner of the firm, is pleased to announce the settlement of the Title IX litigation case between his client, Lisa Simpson, and the University of Colorado. The settlement was finalized after the 10th Circuit Court of Appeals reversed the District Court's ruling in favor of the University and returned the case for trial. The settlement includes a $2.5 million payment and the appointment of an independent adviser to monitor Title IX compliance and an additional part-time counselor who will work in CU's Office of Victim's Assistance.
