Experience

Matt Simonsen’s practice focuses on general civil litigation, including Title IX, civil rights, real estate, employment, and appellate litigation.  Matt joined Hutchinson Black and Cook in 2021 after finishing judicial clerkships at the Colorado Supreme Court and Colorado Court of Appeals.  

During law school, Matt interned at the United States Equal Employment Opportunity Commission, as well as the Office for Civil Rights of the United States Department of Education.  Before becoming an attorney, Matt worked as a professional magician.

When not at work, Matt enjoys playing cards and board games; snowboarding; and spending time with his wife and their two greyhounds.
